On Thursday December 1, 2016 Rev. Damion Hutchins became a member of Truth and Union Lodge #594. Bro. Hutchins has demitted into our lodge from Warner Robins Masonic Lodge #207, Prince Hall Affiliated/F&AM.
Brother Damion Hutchins is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He was licensed to the gospel ministry by Carolina Missionary Baptist Church in Washington, DC in 1996. He was ordained in 2012 by Pilgrim Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. Brother Hutchins is a combat veteran of the United States Air Force where he served for eight years, both overseas and stateside. He also served as the first Black Assistant Chaplain of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He is currently employed as the Palliative Care Chaplain at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Bro. Hutchins has been actively involved in local communities as a consultant, mentor, motivational speaker, and advisor for organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Priority Male Initiative, the EMERGE Project and the African American Leadership Council of the United Way. Since early 2016, Bro. Hutchins has been participating in events and meetings at our lodge and we are very proud to be able to finally call him not only Brother but Lodge Brother. We are confident that he will be a dedicated and hard working member of our lodge.
