Truth and Union Lodge #594 honored the Past Masters on the morning of Saturday September 23, 2017. The event was held at the Applebees in Snellville. There were many Truth and Union members present along with their family members.
The Past Masters honored included: PM Louis Negron, PM Zachary Pratt, PM Charles Bell, PM Pshone Ward, PM Roderick Kimble, PM Earl Beamon, PM John Haynes, and PM Derrick Abrams (posthumously). The Brothers of Truth and Union Lodge #594 were pleased to hold a very successful Friends and Family Day at Lenora Park on Saturday July 29, 2017. Over 150 people showed up to help us have a great day of food, fun, and music. RWGJW Jonathon White and his family also joined us briefly before leaving for another event. JW Karmit Pearson and his team did a wonderful job with the plans and preparations. Each year the bar gets raised and we are definitely looking forward for next year. On Thursday July 13, 2017, Louis Negrón, a Past Master of Truth and Union Lodge, participated in Pitch Night at Centerform in Atlanta. The Pitch Night event consisted of seminary students going head to head with creative problem solving to create valuable enterprises that promote social good. Each team had to come up with a plan that could solve a major problem facing the metro Atlanta area. PM Negrón's team tackled problems facing the refugee community of Clarkston, GA. Clarkston mayor Edward "Ted" Terry, attended the event to support PM Negron and his team. PM Negrón helped develop a plan that would potentially put a live, work, play community in Clarkston that would rival Ponce City Market, or Krog Street Market. It was well received and his team received the most buy in from the judges of the event. All of the teams presented well and offered great potential solutions for issues ranging from homelessness to prison recidivism. PM Negron is currently enrolled at Mercer University School of Theology for his Masters of Divinity. During the Lloyd James KOP Summer Camp, several of our KOP members were honored by receiving a few awards. The Truth and Union KOP are a hard working group of young men and mentor. We are very proud of their efforts. During the summer camp, KOP members learned how to tie a tie, learned how animals are slaughtered for food, and also received a class on how to address police authority. We are excited to keep the standards high in the Prince Hall PHAmily. Awards Earned By Truth and Union KOP Members: 1. Master Knight, Bryan Harte - 2nd place, Track and Field 2.
