The Brothers of Truth and Union Lodge #594 were pleased to hold a very successful Friends and Family Day at Lenora Park on Saturday July 29, 2017.  Over 150 people showed up to help us have a great day of food, fun, and music.  RWGJW Jonathon White and his family also joined us briefly before leaving for another event.

JW Karmit Pearson and his team did a wonderful job with the plans and preparations.  Each year the bar gets raised and we are definitely looking forward for next year.

Truth and Union members attended the 'It Takes A Village' youth symposium on Saturday April 29, 2017.  The event was put on by the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Georgia, and is designed to bring youth and adults together to discuss issues that pertain to the youth.  Truth and Union's KOP (Knights of Pythagoras) is a youth group consisting of young men from Dekalb and Gwinnett counties.  The lodge is dedicated to helping to mentor young men and help guide them towards a path of success in life.

On April 29, 2017, Truth and Union Lodge #594 participated in the 2017 Walk To End Lupus in Atlanta, Georgia.  Truth and Union along with other metro Atlanta area lodges that are apart of The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Georgia,, provide support for the event by donating and giving out water to the walk participants.  This is a yearly event and the lodge always has a great time while doing good in the community.

Walk to End Lupus Now ™ events provide all people affected by lupus and their families the opportunity to come together for one unified purpose — to end lupus. Thousands of walkers in nearly 60 cities across the nation walk to raise money for lupus research, increase awareness of lupus, and rally public support for the estimated 1.5 million Americans who suffer from its brutal impact.

On February 18, 2017, Truth and Union Lodge #594 and New Bethel AME Church once again partnered to offer free food to the community.   The day was rainy but that did not deter the members of New Bethel and a sizable delegation from Truth and Union to come together to do this great work.  We would like to give a special thanks to the wives and family members who came out to assist.

We are very excited to continue this great partnership.
